PublishPro
This project wasn't just about design, it was about creating a meaningful tool that solve core problem. From strategy to execution.
PublishPro is an in-house product built by PixelGrid to solve a real, overlooked problem in self-publishing: book formatting complexity after writing is complete. From research to launch, PixelGrid owned the entire product lifecycle strategy, design, engineering, branding, and continuous iteration.

[ Problem ]
Self-publishing should be simple but for most authors, it isn’t. Formatting a book for Amazon KDP and other platforms is confusing, time-consuming, and full of hidden rules. Authors are forced to deal with technical formatting errors, rejected uploads, broken tables of contents, and inconsistent layouts across devices. Many end up spending hours fixing files, hiring expensive freelancers, or learning tools that were never built for writers in the first place.
[ Solution ]
WE BUILT PUBLISHPRO TO REMOVE FORMATTING COMPLEXITY COMPLETELY. PUBLISHPRO AUTOMATICALLY TURNS RAW MANUSCRIPTS INTO CLEAN, PLATFORM-READY EBOOKS BY HANDLING EVERYTHING BEHIND THE SCENES STRUCTURE, STYLING, FRONT AND BACK MATTER, COVER INTEGRATION, AND KDP COMPLIANCE. AUTHORS SIMPLY UPLOAD THEIR MANUSCRIPT, MAKE EDITS VISUALLY, AND EXPORT A VALIDATED EPUB KINDLE-READY FILE. - NO MANUAL FORMATTING. - NO TECHNICAL SKILLS. - NO REJECTION ANXIETY.
On the engineering side, we built a custom Python-based formatting engine with a React and Next.js frontend, capable of handling complex formatting rules and edge cases. PublishPro is now a live, actively used product and continues to evolve through continuous iteration. This project reflects PixelGrid’s approach to product building: owning the full lifecycle from research and branding to development, launch, and ongoing improvement.
